The First Step

Before you make another product or launch another service
Get a clear path forward and the confidence to decide
what comes next.

You don’t need another idea. You need a clear way to decide what to build and stop guessing what comes next.

01. A clear decision-making process

You learn how to stop guessing and start deciding. Not once, but repeatedly.
So when something doesn’t work, you don’t start over or make something new out of panic.

02. Structure before execution

Before you make or launch anything, you step back and understand who it’s for, what problem it solves, and why this version should exist.
That structure saves time, money, and energy later.

03. Less overwhelm, more confidence

When you know what you’re building and why, decisions get lighter.
You move forward without second-guessing every step or constantly changing direction.

The Real Problem

You're not doing it wrong. You're doing it without a plan.

This isn't about talent or commitment. You act intuitively; make something, launch it, see what happens, then adjust by making something else.

A crocheter makes new dolls when the last ones didn't sell. A consultant launches another program when the previous one didn't land.

The pattern isn't skills. It's reaction instead of direction. Without a clear way to decide what to build, who it's for, and why it should exist, every attempt feels like a gamble.

A 10-week online program to help early-stage and stuck entrepreneurs stop guessing and move forward with clarity and confidence.

You don't suddenly have all the answers. But you do stop improvising.

Stop reacting. Start understanding
When something doesn't work, you'll know how to figure out why, instead of immediately changing everything. That means fewer false starts and less second-guessing.
Know what to do next
You don't freeze. You don't rush into making something new. You follow a clear process to decide whether to adjust, test, simplify, or move on. Decision replaces doubt.
Move forward with clarity
When your actions connect to a plan, the pressure drops. You're still working, but you're no longer carrying everything in your head. That's where confidence comes from.

How The First Step Works

A clear, guided process. One evening a week.

This program is designed to help you think clearly before you act, not by rushing through a framework or handing you models to copy, but by guiding you through a process you can use again and again.

Live, online sessions

Tuesday evenings. 90 minutes. Small group.

Each session includes short, focused input, time to work on your own project, and guidance and feedback.

This is not a course you watch. It's a space where you actively work things out.

Between sessions

There's no heavy homework.

You'll use what we cover to reflect, make small decisions, test assumptions, and prepare for the next step.

The goal is progress, not pressure.

The First Step Program

By the end, you'll have a way of deciding what to do next, without starting over every time.

Why this isn't
a 2-hour workshop

Because real clarity takes time to build.

You can learn a framework in a couple of hours. What usually doesn't change in two hours is how you make decisions, respond when something doesn't work, or choose what to build next.

That's why many people leave short workshops informed, but still guessing.

The First Step is designed to give you:

  • time to think instead of react
  • space to test assumptions
  • guidance while you apply things to your own situation

Ten weeks isn't about adding complexity. It's about reducing false starts later.

Who this is for (and who its not)

The First Step is designed for people tired of guessing, hoping, launching,
not seeing results.... and starting over again.

This is for you if:

You want to start a business in NL with solid foundations.
You've launched products or services that didn't work as expected
You're open to using frameworks to make better decisions
You tend to act intuitively and then adjust by making something new
You want to understand what's working and why, not just keep trying new things

This is not for you if…

 You're looking for a quick-fix template or done-for-you solution
You can't commit to attending weekly sessions
You want someone to tell you exactly what to build
You're not ready to examine what hasn't worked
You'd rather keep your creative work as a hobby, not a business

Do I need a fully formed business idea to join?

No. This program is designed for people who have skills or ideas but need clarity on what’s worth building first.

How much time does this really take each week?

One live session per week, plus light reflection or preparation. This is not a homework-heavy program.

Is this a course I just watch, or do I actively work on my own project?

You actively work on your own project throughout. This is not a passive course. The sessions give structure and guidance, but the clarity comes from applying it to your own situation.

What if I realise my idea needs to change during the program?

That’s expected, not a problem. The process is designed to help you adjust direction without starting from scratch. Changing your mind is often a sign that things are getting clearer.

What happens if I can’t attend a session?

Life happens. If you miss a session, you’ll still be able to catch up with the materials and continue the process. Each week builds on the previous one, but missing one session doesn’t break everything. What matters is staying engaged with the work, not perfect attendance.

Is this for creatives, freelancers, or service businesses?

Yes. This program is designed for creatives, freelancers, and small service-based businesses, including food, hospitality, wellbeing, and consultancy professionals. It’s not aimed at startups chasing scale.
